NEXT SEASON TRYOUTS COMING IN MAY TO FOREST HILLS PARK

ESK will be holding tryouts for the Fall 2010/Spring 2011 season at Forest Hills Park in May. All new and returning players MUST tryout. Boys will tryout on Monday, May 17. Girls tryouts are Wednesday, May 19. Please consult the birthday chart on this Web site to determine which team your child should tryout for. Tryout times will be determined by age group (youngest to oldest). Online tryout registration will begin late April. Questions? Contact

ESK SOCCER FEST & FUNDRAISER

Join the East Side Kickers at our 5th Annual Soccer Fest & Fundraiser at the Cleveland Heights Community Center on Saturday, May 1, 2010 from 6 - 9 pm.

Carnival games, giant indoor jumper, DJ, raffles, food, silent auction, and of course soccer, for the whole family to enjoy. All proceeds go to the ESK Player Scholarship Program.

We are now declaring teams for the second indoor session at the Force. If you are currently on a team, please email your team coach and/or manager and let them know if you are playing second indoor session (January->March).

If you are NOT currently on a team and wish to join a team for the second session, email and let us know what team you played on in the Fall.

We need this information by 5pm Wednesday, Dec 2nd!

ESK Alum Jared Alcorn scored the game-winning goal in double overtime in the first round playoff game between Cleveland Hts High School and Chardon.

Another family in our Eastside Kickers community has had a great loss. The Murphys lost their son Daniel this last weekend. Daniel's sister is a member of our U10 girl's team.

We extend our deepest sympathies to the family and ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers. The team canceled their game on Sunday to allow the Murphys and their friends and teammates to gather together at this tragic time.

The Eastside Kickers community extends our deepest sympathies to one of our own families. Carmela "Lilly" Marfella Scivittaro passed away suddenly on Wednesday the 16th. She was a valued member of our community, a dedicated volunteer, and mother of two of our players. She will be deeply missed.

The U11 division 1 boys team, with substitute coaches and guest players from the other U11 team, played Chagrin Falls in Chagrin on Wednesday evening. An extremely tough and well-played game ended at 1-1 after the Heights team dominated play for most of the game. The game featured a late, unstoppable goal by Chagrin Falls and 2 penalty kicks, one stopped by goalkeeper Andrew and one, with no time left in the game, pushed just wide to the left to preserve the tie.

Everyone stepped up on this game and played their hearts out. Jordan scored his second ESK goal on a breakaway in the first half, slotting the ball shortside after outrunning the defense.

Thanks to Jack, Jeremy, Evan and Nick (from the U10 team!) who came to provide substitutes. Also, welcome back to Charlie E., returning from a broken arm!
