Robbie Helfgott, U13 Boys coach, has been hired as the new Girls' Varsity coach at Cleveland Heights High School. Robbie was previously the Varsity Assistant coach.

John Tuggey, U8 Boys coach, has been picked to take Robbie's place as the Varsity Assistant coach. John was the CHHS JV Head coach last year.

To replace John, CHHS has hired Kyle Gisser, the ESK U11 Boys head coach, as the new JV Boys Head coach.

Congratulations to all of them. This represents significant steps forward for each of them in their coaching careers, and reflects on the increase of professionalism in the ranks of ESK coaching.

Congratulations to our U10 Div 1-A Boys team, Coached by David Krus and Kevin Callanan, who won their division with a 7-1 record and a +21 Goal Differential.

Congratulations also go to the U11 Div 1-B Boys Team, Coached by Kyle Gisser, who won their division with a 6-1 Record and a +22 Goal differential - the only positive goal differential in the division!

Congratulations also the our U13 Div 1-A Boys Team, coached by Robbie Helfgott, who came in second in their division, compiling a 5-2-1 record and a +12 goal differential. Also to our U9 Div 2B Team, who were undefeated going into the last game of the season against the Twinsburg boys. Twinsburg won that game and took first place on head-to-head record.

Storms have passed, the fields are fine. See you all at footskills at Boulevard tonight! 5:30 for the younger kids, 6:30 for the older kids.

Due to the oncoming thunderstorms, the clinic today has been canceled.

Congratulations to the U11 boys (with help from a number of U10s) who made it to the championship at the Euclid Tournament, despite being moved up to the U12 division. The team went undefeated (4-0) in pool play before losing to Mentor's U12 in the championship 8-4.

Coached by Kyle Gisser and Todd Griffith, the boys fell behind 4-0 in the final, but closed to 5-3 before Mentor eventually took control. Congratulations to the boys on a great effort!

Tryouts for the 2009-2010 Eastside Kickers/Heights United Soccer Outdoor Soccer program are scheduled for May 11 (boys) and May 13 (girls), 2009 at Forest Hills. A tryout is required for consideration to be placed on a team in the Fall - current players with conflicts should contact your Director of Coaching and League Rep:

Sean reports that standing water on the Boulevard field may make it dangerous for younger kids to play. Therefore we are canceling the U9 practice for tonight.

The Rec League is practicing inside, so any U8s going to footskills should go to the Rec center.

Because of field conditions, the U9 practice is confirmed CANCELLED.

Also, the CHUH Rec league is cancelled for tonight. Players should report to the Rec Center at 6pm to meet their coaches and get their TShirts.
