U8 Boys Dominate Chagrin Falls 8! | |

The U8 Boys played the Chagrin Falls 8 team on 12/16 on the big field. After losing to this team last time 3-2, the boys showed off their growing defensive dominance to turn in a 6-0 win! Playing 8v8, Assists from BJ, Thomas and Liam let to goals by Kevin, Baseer, Thomas, Henry and Liam in the first half. The Thomas -> Baseer play deserves special mention - a beautiful centering pass and a one-touch shot from the top of the goalie box led to a picture-perfect goal! The team allowed Chagrin to put a 9th player on the field and the two teams played even, with the ESK defense keeping Chagrin away from the goal and one amazing one-on-one save by Charlie holding the shutout. A late goal with BJ getting his second assist from a defensive position to Nick led to the 6-0 final. Especially strong on defense were our outside defenders, including Gavin, Dylan and Connor. Everyone contributed to this great win! This game shows how a strong defense can dominate a game, allowing the offense opportunities to score. |
